BIOGRAPHY:
BISHOP LARRY D. GRINSTEAD, PASTOR

Bishop Larry D. Grinstead had a humble beginning in a small rural area in the great state of Mississippi, where hard work and respect was a way of life and without a doubt have caused him to make major strides in life. Upon completing high school, he then enrolled at Alcorn State University with a major in Computer Science. He later joined the U.S. Army with a rewarding career blistering through the ranks achieving the rank of sergeant within two years. Being a soldier and loving to train soldiers and working out he was able to make many friends in both the enlisted and officer ranks. Being a soldier afforded Bishop Grinstead the opportunity to see and serve in many great places in the world; and for that he is thankful to God and the U. S. Army. Seeing and serving in other parts of the world has given Bishop Grinstead a greater appreciation for the United States of America.

Bishop Grinstead hearing and responding to the Call of God to preach the gospel began this awesome and rewarding journey in Bamberg, West Germany. A member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Joshua Joubert was the Angel of the House. After leaving the military, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Grinstead returned home walking only by faith in what God had promised. Moving with God and submitting to those who had authority over him, God continued to bless his ministry and season him for elevation. Bishop Grinstead gives thanks and God's blessings to all of those who had been chosen by God to help prepare him for the priviledge he has now received in the leading of God's people. Rev. Smith, Rev. Leroy Taylor, Rev. Glasko Floyd, of the Pleasant Grove Missonary Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Russell Pastor of the Pearl River Valley Missionary Baptist Church (Ordination). The late Raleigh Jones Pastor of the Greenhill Missionary Baptist Church, Clarksville, Tn. and Rev. Louis Leake Pastor of the New Salem Full Gospel Baptist Church, Clarksville, Tn.

Under the direction of the Holy Spirit "Training Ground for Spiritual Warriors" has become Puritan's motto, making it one of the fastest growing churches in the wonderful city of Indianapolis Indiana. Believeing that God does not have a ceiling and that every worship experience should be explosive and powerfu, Bishop Grinstead is committed to serving the spiritual needs of God's people. He strives to provide a moral and ethical role model in the religious arena. Bishop Grinstead exemplifies integrity and honesty. Bishop Grinstead is noted for the great anointing on his life as well as the humility which he displays. Because of such a great anointing on his life he is often asked to preach and to teach at other places. One of the highlights of his ministry was being selected as one of the "Most Loved Pastors" in Gospel Today. Bishop Grinstead believes that being able to love people in spite of their condition is the most profound principle that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was trying to convey to his followers.
